Introducing PPSL’s

Community Action Network

A community-driven initiative to advance borrowers’ rights, share real-time information, and promote greater accountability in higher education.

Through organizing, mobilization, and outreach, PPSL’s borrower community has helped power the litigation and advocacy that have secured $50 billion in predatory student loan discharges, including the historic $23 billion Sweet settlement that delivered relief to nearly half a million people. This was possible thanks to the tireless efforts of borrowers who were not afraid to challenge predatory schools and the systems that enable them.

Our Mission

PPSL’s Community Action Network brings student loan borrowers together to share knowledge, offer support, and advocate for a fair, transparent, and accountable higher education system. We believe that colleges and universities must be held responsible for delivering on promised outcomes, that student loan policies should prioritize borrower protections, and that everyone deserves access to affordable, quality education without the burden of lifelong debt.

Our mission is to amplify the voices of borrowers, including those from underserved communities, to hold predatory institutions accountable, and demand policy solutions that alleviate student debt while ensuring that higher education serves as a pathway to economic mobility — not financial hardship. Through grassroots organizing, community support, policy advocacy, and public awareness campaigns, we work to champion a system where higher education is truly accessible for all.
